Chris is a qualified accountant by profession and a UK, Cyprus and Romania Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. With the introduction of the Insolvency Act 1986 in the United Kingdom, at the age of 24, he became the youngest Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in the UK. Some 35 years later and with over 7,000 insolvency related appointments to his credit, he boasts a wealth of experience in all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency, not only in England and Cyprus, but several other common Law jurisdictions.

In 1988, he set up the island’s first insolvency practice, Iacovides Kimonos & Co, to provide insolvency related services. Following his departure from the firm in November of 2008, in February 2009, he teamed up with other leading professionals, to incorporate CRI Group.

Utilizing the mechanisms introduced by the rescue culture embodied in the English Insolvency Act 1986, the Enterprise Act 2002 in the UK and the Insolvency Framework, applicable in Cyprus, as amended in May 2015, he has facilitated loan and debt restructuring and corporate turnarounds for many companies home and abroad.

Chris specializes in cross border insolvency, asset tracing and multijurisdictional fraud. He enjoys an excellent reputation amongst professionals worldwide and he has been involved in several complex insolvencies, spanning several jurisdictions including, but not limited to: England, Cyprus, Ukraine, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Seychelles, Bahamas, Bermuda, Belize, India, Nepal, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Jersey and many others.

He has participated as a guest speaker in many seminars on cross border insolvency and fraud and he is the author of several articles in this field.

Chris Iacovides

Director - UK Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Ninos qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974 and worked with Arthur Young McLeiland Moores (now EY) until 1978. He is a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in the UK. With the introduction of the Insolvency Act 1986, Ninos was amongst the first Cypriots to have received an Insolvency Practitioners License in 1986.

Ninos has considerable experience in all types of restructuring and insolvency assignments, both personal and corporate, across a wide range of sectors

In addition to being a fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Ninos is a fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners of Romania and various charity organizations and community associations.

Ninos is also a director of Alexander Lawson Chartered Surveyors, a multi-disciplined UK firm offering a wide range of professional services to Lenders, Investors, Developers and Occupiers of both residential and commercial property.

Ninos Koumettou

Director - UK Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Tassos served with the Police Force in Cyprus for forty two years before he eventually retired in 2006, as Chief of the Police. During his colourful career, in addition to being President of the Cyprus Police Association, he served in various posts, amongst some but, not limited to, the Prosecutor’s Office, head of a branch of the Central Intelligence Service, Commander of the Criminal Investigation Department and Commander of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit.

Tassos was honoured and decorated for his services by INTERPOL and the respective Presidents of the republics of Greece and Cyprus. He is often invited to lecture and participate in panel discussions on law and order related subjects.

With his experience and background, Tassos will no doubt prove to be an invaluable member of the team.

Tassos Panayiotou

Director - Investigations and Asset Tracing

Andri is a director of CRI Group, a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in Cyprus, approved Insolvency Practitioner in the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) and a UK qualified solicitor.

Andri specialises in complex cross border insolvency matters, asset tracing and multi jurisdictional fraud. In the scope of her insolvency appointments Andri has obtained emergency interim relief including disclosure and worldwide freezing orders.  Andri has worked on insolvency cases spanning many jurisdictions including UK, Cyprus, Germany, Spain, Dubai, Ukraine, Russia, BVI, Seychelles, Sweden and Switzerland amongst others.

Prior to joining CRI, Andri worked for the UK’s Insolvency Service where she qualified as an Examiner.

Andri is currently Country Co-ordinator for Insol Europe.

Andri Antoniou

Director - Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Marios Kofteros graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2012.

In September 2012, he joined CRI Group as an Insolvency Administrator dealing with the administration of a large portfolio of solvent and insolvent voluntary liquidations.

In 2016, he became a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and primarily focusses on cross-border insolvencies, involving several jurisdictions, including Cyprus, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Belize etc.
