Louiza Sigar graduated from the University of Nicosia in 2011 with an LL.B Hons degree, followed by an LL.M in International Commercial Law and Practice awarded from the University of Sheffield in 2012. She completed her training in the year 2012-2013 at the Attorney General’s Office and then Tornaritis & Co LLC and was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2013.
Louiza worked as an Associate in the Litigation Department of Tornaritis & Co LLC from April 2013 until January 2018, handling cases of corporate litigation and insolvency matters (companies in receivership and/or liquidation), civil and commercial matters, employment law, and cases concerning minor criminal offences.
Moreover, she was involved in the handling of the Orphanides Public Company Ltd (in receivership and later in liquidation) litigation, which included about 300 criminal cases and 200 civil cases. She has also dealt with litigation cases concerning banking law and banks under Special Administration. She has experience with the drafting of legal documents and handling cases before all the Cypriot courts, including the Supreme Court of Cyprus.
In February 2018, she joined CRI Group Ltd as a Manager, handling cases of bankruptcies and compulsory liquidations.
