Chris Iacovides

Chris is a qualified accountant, and was the founding partner of Iacovides Kimonos & Co, the
island's first insolvency firm, set up in 1988, to provide
insolvency related services. He has gained considerable experience,
practicing in Cyprus during the last twenty years and following his
departure from the firm he set up, in November of 2008, he teamed up
with other leading professionals, to incorporate CRI Group.
With the introduction of the Insolvency Act 1986 in the United
Kingdom, Chris, at the age of 24, became the youngest licensed
Insolvency Practitioner in the UK. With over 7,000 insolvency
related appointments to his credit, in the last 26 years, Chris
boasts a wealth of experience in all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency.
Utilizing the mechanisms introduced by the rescue culture embodied
in the Insolvency Act 1986 and the Enterprise Act 2002 in the UK,
Chris has been able to facilitate loan and debt restructuring and
corporate turnarounds for many companies home and abroad.
Chris specializes in cross border insolvency and corporate
restructuring and enjoys an excellent reputation amongst
professionals worldwide. He has been involved in several complicated
cross border insolvencies, spanning several jurisdictions including,
but not limited to: United States, Canada, British Virgin Islands,
Seychelles, Bahamas, India and Nepal, Netherlands, Spain and Jersey.
Chris has participated as a guest speaker in many seminars on cross
border insolvency and is the author of a number of articles in this
field. He currently practices in England but he has recently been
licensed by the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners of
Romania and together with his partners at CRI group, intent
expanding their operations to Romania.
Chris is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus, as well as all the leading professional Insolvency and Turnaround Associations, including the Insolvency Practitioners Association, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, the Turnaround Management Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Association of Restructuring Advisors in the U.S. and the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners of Romania.

Ninos Koumettou
Licensed Insolvency Practitioner |
Ninos qualified as a Chartered Accountant in
1975 and worked with Ernst & Young ("E&Y"), where he remained until 1978.
Following his departure, he worked in shipping and commerce, until
he set up in practice, in 1982. Whilst with E&Y, he trained amongst
others, in insolvency, a specialization which he was primarily
involved when running his own firm. In 1986, with the requirement of
the Insolvency Act 1986 for practitioners to be licensed, he was
amongst the first Cypriots to have received authorization.
Ninos has considerable experience in all types of restructuring and
insolvency assignments, both personal and corporate, across a wide
range of sectors
In addition to being a fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales, Ninos is a fellow of the
Association of Business Recovery Professionals, the Association of
Chartered Certified Accountants the National Union of Insolvency
Practitioners of Romania and various charity organizations and
community associations.

Antonis Haji Roussos
Insolvency Practitioner |
Antonis is a fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He retired as the senior partner in charge of the International Business Division and insolvency arm of Coopers & Lybrand in Cyprus. He has been an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus and he is the author and co-author of several business publications.
Antonis was elected for three consecutive, five year term, as member of the Cyprus Parliament, representing a minority community in Cyprus and he is also a member of the Education Committee of the Parliament and a member of the committee for Private Education. Some of his appointments include president of a Co-op Savings bank, vice president of the Board of the Cyprus Nordic Business Association, of which Antonis has been one of the founding members, primarily responsible for the promotion of the business activity between Cyprus and Sweden and president of two philanthropic foundations.
Antonis has significant experience in all aspects of corporate insolvency and restructuring and has been involved in the establishment of complex corporate group structures in different tax jurisdictions

Michalis Moushouttas
Lawyer |
Michalis is a lawyer by profession, a member
of the English Bar, called in 1997, admitted to the Cyprus Bar in
1998. He has extensive experience of corporate and commercial
matters, particularly in relation to company and business
acquisitions and sales of, public and private companies, joint
ventures, corporate reorganizations, insolvency, banking and
taxation.
Michalis is the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the
Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (heading the services
sector). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus
Chamber of Commerce and Industry; the Board of Directors of the
Cyprus-Russian, Cyprus-Hellenic, Cyprus-Romanian, Cyprus-Lebanon and
Cyprus-Hungary business associations; and a member of the Board of
Directors of several companies listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange
and various other private companies

Tassos Panayiotou
Investigations and Asset Tracing

Tassos served with the Police Force in
Cyprus for forty two years before he eventually retired in 2006, as
Chief of the Police. During his colourful career, in addition to
being president of the Cyprus Police Association, he served in
various posts, amongst some but, not limited to, the Prosecutor's
Office, head of a branch of the Central Intelligence Service,
Commander of the Criminal Investigation Department and Commander of
the Drug Law Enforcement Unit.
Tassos was honoured and decorated for his services by INTERPOL and
the respective Presidents of the republics of Greece and Cyprus. He
is often invited to lecture and participate in panel discussions on
law and order related subjects.
With his experience and background,
Tassos will no doubt prove to be an invaluable member of the team.
